Description

Chung Ying Garden is one of the largest and most popular Chinese Restaurant in the Midlands.
Established since 1987, the restaurant was formed on the back of the success of
it’s sister restaurant, the Chung Ying.

Situated at the heart of Birmingham’s “China Town”, we are conveniently located; just within
walking distance from the "
New Street
” railway station, City Centre, Birmingham’s premier theatres
and the “Bull Ring” complex. We are also minutes by car from the
National Indoor Arena and International Convention Centre.

The Cuisine here is traditional Cantonese, typical of what you would find in Hong Kong.
We are frequented by many of the local Chinese businessmen and families.
We are widely regarded as the best Chinese restaurant for the Chinese in the Midlands.
How many restaurants are as busy as here on a Sunday, Monday and Tuesday?

Our Menu has over 450 dishes, as well as numerous of Banquet Menus catering for large parties.
We also have a separate menu, specifically designed to the Chinese Taste.
You would expect to find all your favourite dishes, ranging from the Sweet & Sours and Sizzlers
to live seafood such as Lobster, Turbot & Eel.
The menu is widely seen as being the largest in England.
The philosophy here has always been to try and cater for all the customer’s taste and demands.

Lunching Chinese style (“Yum Cha”) is very popular, especially with the wide selections of
“Dim Sums” available. With some 100 different choices,
we possible have the largest variety outside Hong Kong & China.

The Restaurant has a capacity of over 380 people, split into two levels. Décor downstairs has
a modern European taste, with a “hint” of Chinese influence. With high ceilings,
fresh modern look, a Terracotta replica solder and pictures of ancient
Chinese “princess” “Andy Warhol” style, the changes was widely well like by the general public.

Upstairs is where all the action is. The floor is split into four areas, with a total seating of 280 people.
Private dining areas can be made to suit the customer’s needs.
Functions rooms of 10 – 200 people can be catered for, ideal for business meetings to private parties.
There is also a dance floor, perfect for karaoke and disco.
This has now become one of the best-kept secrets in town, frequently used by
Blue Chip Companies such as Barclays, KPMG, Cadburys & GlaxoSmithkline.

There is a secured car park at the rear of the restaurant operated by the ECP group.
Disabled access is also available from the rear entrance.

We are pleased to announced we are once again recommended by both
the "AA" and "Which?" Good Food Guides for 2008
