Birmingham’s Gymnastics Development Co-ordinator oversees a varied programme of gymnastic classes. There are two main centres in Birmingham that specifically cater for gymnastics and have a full range of specialised apparatus for gymnastics:

All classes at the specialist centres are administrated through Birmingham City Council's Strategic Sport Department via the Gymnastics Development Officer. The classes serve to introduce the sport of gymnastics to children through a programme that offers enjoyment, through structured learning, with the use of body management skills that allow progression through an award scheme structure. Avenues to move onto improver groups are also available as well as possibilities of extra training opportunities being offered to individuals that exhibit a defined talent for competitive gymnastics under the guidance of coaches from the City of Birmingham Olympic Gymnastics Club.
